We have had to take our puppy to the vets this week and she has had to have an operation because she had internal bleeding of the stomach. Whilst the op went well the puppy is refusing to eat and the vet has told us we can't bring her home till she has eaten food and kept it down. He has told us today that if she doesn't eat by tomorrow he will probably advise us to let him put her to sleep, does anybody have any idea as to why she wont eat because the vet says that there is no reason why she wont.

This is difficult one to answer on the information which you have provided.
If she has actually had a stomach haemorrhage she is probably better off without food, but she must be given intravenour fluids and nourishment - which your vet should be able to provide.
Did you get a more specific diagnosis or details of the surgery than those you mention?
