my dog,a bitch who is about 12 and half years old is completly incontinent
her back end is permanatly soaked, she stops in the kitchen were it is easier to mop out. my question is how can i ask my vet to end her life as she has no life, she refuses to go out for walks and as a consequence has long nails which i try to keep short with cutters.
my vet just wants to keep trying new products which dont work.
i dont know what else to do , my kitchen smells like a public toilet which isnt nice..

Hi, Janette,
If your dog is a neutered bitch, her incontinece may well be connected wit that.
Presumably a bladder infection has been ruled out, but there is one product which I suspect your vet will already have tried - phenylpropanilanine drops-
which sometimes help, as does HRT.
There is no one 'sure-fire' treatment, so do not blame your vet for wanting to try new products - he is trying to do his best for you!
