Hello Walter,

I have a staffordshire bull terrier, aged 11 weeks. he has had his first injection and is due the second on Wednesday (coming).

I would like to know how great the risk would be if i took him out before the second jab?

I have tried reading up about this on the internet but the information I have found relates to the disease itself.

Many Thanks

Kim

Hi, Kim,
Your pup is not fully protected until after his course of vaccinations is complete.
If, however. you have somewhere uncontaminated by other dogs where you can take him for exercise, you should be OK

Hi Walter,

Thank you for replying, I have been letting him run around in my mum's garden. My mum does not have any pets but cats from neighbouring gardens do visit my mum's garden. Is this likely to be a problem for my pup?

Hi, Kim,
It is unlkely that your pup will pick any nasties in your mum's garden!
