Small lesion on bottom eye lid

I have been to the vets this morning and he has explained that my dog may have 2 small lesions on his bottom eye lid, we are hoping that it's an infection that has caused this but if they aren't gone in a couple of days or if they get bigger they will have to be removed along with a small bit of the eye lid. Does anyone know how this will affect his eye and indeed what caused lesions.

Thanks

Hi,Dawn,
Thse may be a result of a mild chronic infection in an eyelash follicle, or they may be small benign 'cysts'.
Removing them will be very starightforward and there should be no after-effects.

Charlie has also had a little bit of hair thinning down his back is there any way in your opinion that this could be connected??
many thanks!

Hi, Dawn,
I cannot think of any likely connection between the two.
You have not said how old Charlie is, but the first thhing to consider as a cause of the coat thinning is fleas!
