My cat Arabella was diagnosed with hyperthyroid in September and has responded very well to felimazole and blood pressure treatment. She has regained all her weight and her appetite is normal again.
I noticed she has a lump on her flank which is about 2 to 3 inches across. It is not fixed and is quite movable.I was wondering if it is a lipoma. She is going for her thyroid check up soon so I will mention it there.Do you think it is likely to be a lipoma or something more sinister?

Hi Machair,

Lipomas are less common in cats than in dogs, but if it is freely mobile I think it is unlikely to be malignant. Get the vet to check it when you go back.
