Cat's eye query

I have 2 british shorthairs one male and female, both 18 months old. The female has always has always had more of build up of sleep in her eyes than him. Recently though one of her eyes appears to be more 'gunky' than normal. I have been wiping her eye occasionally with warm water on a cotton pad just to keep it clean. I know this can be common for short nosed cats and it doesn't seem to bother her too much so I'm wondering whether to just leave it or get it looked at if it is a condition that can be treated.

Any advice welcome

Thanks
Trazza

Hi,
It is always worth getting a runny eye checked out. If there is a corneal ulcer it needs treating, and it is always a posibilty.
