One of our cats had pancreatitis a couple of years ago, he had buprenorphine injection 0.25-0.3g/mol injection and was fine. Took him to the vet recently because he had been lethargic for a couple of days. No temperature, heart fine, blood tests showed elevated amylase levels. Had a buprenorphine injection 0.4- 0.3mg/ml. Brought him home 15 minutes later and he behaved like he did when he inadvertently ate one of my 50mg tramadol tablets. Pacing around for over 12 hours, looked too stoned to eat his supper. The next day his heart rate was 200. I was wondering if the dose of buprenorphine was too high.
