Best dog nail clippers?
June 27, 2013 08:11PM
Hi I have bought lots of different nail trimmers from P@H
And none of them are any good, they either crush or split my jack russells nails.
I've bought every one of pets at homes own brand clippers and also tried the furninator ones but they are a waste of money. Could you advise me on what clippers are good or even what ones you use please?.
Thanks winking smiley

Hi Chris

I prefer to use fairly heavy duty clippers with a guillotine type closure, not the silver pointed end type -if that makes sense. Even on smaller dogs they make a neater cut without splitting the nail. These types are usually available from veterinary wholesalers. Try asking your own vet, if anyone has trouble sourcing good clippers see if you can order some through them.
