The brightly coloured vomit contains bile which is part of digestive juices produced in the upper intestines. At 15 yrs old your cat is at an age when internal medical problems become more likely to develop and her vomiting symptoms are abnormal. Whilst occasional regurgitating might be a one off, due to something she ate, or due to grooming fur, her symptoms are now more frequent so potentially more serious. Do you think she's losing weight, eating less? drinking less? or eating more? drinking more? If you think 'yes' to any of these questions, or actually even if you haven't observed any of that but she still keeps producing the vomit, it's an indication of problems. You would be well advised to take her on that bus journey to the vets. There's a list of possible conditions to consider and they can run tests to help determine the cause of her problems.
