Can you advise. My cat has developed a jerky flinching towards the rear of his back and tail which makes him dart to a safe corner. He also has severe diarrhoer (everyday). I took him to vet and he gave him a worm pill (Drontal). He also gave him 3 antibiotic tablets. This was about a week ago. For a day or two he seemed a bit better but the last 2-3 days its all come back. He is nearly 12 years old but has been in good health till now.

Hi There,

You need to return to your vet and let them know that the diarrhoea hasn't cleared up despite the treatment and also report the new symptoms. Severe diarrhoea can quickly lead to dehydration and anorexia, so please don't delay. You vet will then be able to appropriately diagnose and treat your little cat.
