Bailey has quite severe Diarrhea today.
I came down to find 2 lots on the Kitchen floor this morning.
I took him for an early walk and he done another one, but also was squatting and losing some watery substance from his back passage.
I went shopping for about an hour and a half and he didn't mess the floor, but when i walked him a while ago he is still very loose.
I am wondering how long i should let him have loose Bowels before taking him to see the vet?

P.S He ate his breakfast no Prblems.
He ate his Luch too, but didn't seem overly enthuastic with it.

Sorry, but the worst thing to have done was to give him breakfast and lunch!
24 hours starvation with lots to drink is the best first-aid.
Add 1/2 teaspoonful of salt an 1 teaspoonful sodium bicarb to 1 pint of drinking water, maybe flavoured with a little meat juice or gravy. back to normal feeding ofer 2 to 3 days.
If it has not settled down within 48 hours, or if he refuses to drink the mixture, off to the vet!

Oh No!

Since then he had last nights dinner and breakfast this morning (although slow to eat, he did clear his bowl both times).

His Poop Is still a little loose today, not as bad though.
B/c he is still not quite right i shall follow your advice for the mixture and starve him for the rest of today.

Incidentally, he goes for a walk in the feilds regulary and often i am having to tell himm to stop eating the Rabbits Droppings.
Do you think it is likely that this is what could be giving him the upset tummy?

Hi Walter,

I ended up taking Bailey to see the Vet this evening, as he refused to drink the Mixture.

He thinks that Rabbit droppings are the cause for his problem.

He has a very Inflamed Bowel. Also he had started to Dehydrate.

He has given me all the Medications for him and wants to see him again on Monday Morning.

Thanks for your advice and i'll bear the Mixture in mind for future reference.
