i have an 8 year old lab/shephard mix who is experiencing trouble with her hind leg. she is not using it but walking on only 3 legs. she does not seem to be in a lot of pain but we are very concerned and not familiar with hip dyslagia--does this sound like it? please let me know.
Hi, Celeste, Your dog's problem certainly could be HD, but equally it could be a damaged ligament in the stifle ('knee'). It needs to be seen by a veterinary surgeon, who could advise the appropriate treatment in either case. Walter
