My 4 year old boxer had a lump which appeared on her back before i took her to the vet is burst and let out puss and blood. The lump has now gone but has left a patch where there is no hair can you help

Hi,Hilary,
This sounds like a 'sebaceous cyst'.
It may be necessary for your vet to cut it out to prevent it recurring.

Applying Vitamin E to the skin may help hair to regrow (pierce a capsule of 1000i.u. Vitamin E and apply to the skin daily). Or try Dermagel - a herbal gel which stimulates healing and promotes helps hair growth (didn't work for my bald spot, mind you, but seems to help dogs!)
