Our guinea pigs had their first babies (2) on Xmas eve... At the moment both parents and 2 babies are in the same combo of hutches connected with tubes... I gather from previous posts that the babies will become sexually mature soon and that the male doesn't pose a threat to his young??
Please confirm?? If the babies are female and I neuter the male, could they live together indefinitely as I know they like to live in groups... If we do rehome them, at what age do they leave their mum please?? Also, should I neuter the male ASAP to avoid the mum becoming pregnant on her next heat??
