Hello, my hamster has a white dot on the edge of side of his eye. Its not weeping and doesnt seem to be bothering him. It looks almost like an ulcer? Just wondering what to do about it? Its not in the center of pupil so dont think its cataract. Hamster was 1 year old this month.

Hi

Sorry but I cant really say what this is. You are right to note that if its not in the centre of the pupil it can't be a cataract in the lens. Eyes are delicate structures and it would be best to get this checked by a vet in case there is an infection needing treatment.
