I have a 5 year old Border Terrier who has developed a cloudy eye and is obviously not seeing as well as she once did. Would this be glaucoma or a caterract. Can anything be done that would be worth while to help her - she has a double erratic heart beat so ops are to be kept to a minimum. She is managing perfectly without full sight and is finding things by smell.

Hi

Its not possible for me to say as it depends where exactly in the eye the cloudiness has developed. Various eye conditions can cause cloudiness and loss of vision and some of them, such as glaucoma, are also painful. Your vet needs to examine her eye condition to find out what treatment is possible.
