Cat bleeding from nose

Hello,

I came home from vacation to find my 5yr old cat bleeding from one side of his nose. I took him to the vet and they put him on antibiotics but said if it didn't get better then i'd have to take him to an internal specialist. He was getting a bit better by day 4 and now - the next day, it has gotten worse again. I have him in the bathroom with everything he needs because he keeps sneezing and spraying blood all over. He is acting completely fine otherwise - he's eating well, drinking, and going to the bathroom just fine.

Does anyone have a similar story or any advice? I would really appreciate it!

Hi,

This bleeding could come from:
1. Something in the nasal cavity such as a piece of grass
2 An ulcer which has eroded into a blood vessel
3 An intra-nasal tumour.

It really needs to be examined under anaesthetic to determine which it is.
