Hi,
I have a particular situation here and hopefully someone can share their advice.
I am 28 going to 29 this year currently in employment ( in UK) as an electronics engineer. I've graduated with Beng 1st Hons and Masters in an UK institution almost 5 years ago. Being a vet has always been a desire (I am sure this sounds like a cliche now
), therefore I am seriously contemplating of leaving my decent paying job and re-train as a vet that is if i get accepted.
I have 8 GCSE Cambridge - Singapore O levels that includes Chemistry(A), Physics(B ) and Maths(A). My A levels includes Maths(A), Physics(B ) and Economic(C). It is evident that I need to an A level equivalent qualification in Chemsitry & Biology which I will pursue in a part time basis that most likely will take 2 yrs. I will also take work placements during this time.
Concerns I have are:
(1) Given its so competitive to get entry to Vet Med, would my age ( 31 yrs old when i start) be against me?
(2) what tips and advice would you provide to enhance my application?
best regards, Dawn
