I'm currently 25 and am looking at becoming a vet. I understand that I would need to retake my A levels in Chemistry, Biology and Physics as I when I was at college 7 years ago I studies a BTEC couse instead! As I live in the Portsmouth area at the moment the narest uni that offers the course would be London. I understand that the course is expensive, but do you know if there are any funding options avaliable or how much a course would cost at all? Thank you.

Hi, Stuart,

I think that you are facing a formidable task.
From Portsmouth I think that Bristol is your nearest veterinary school, not London.
Write to Bristol and ask them their entry requirments for a mature student.
I know of no sources of funding available, but a recent post indicated that the course fees for a mature student at Edinburgh were more than £20,000 per year for 5 years .
