Hi,

My name is Phoebe and I am very interested in becoming a veterinarian.
I am only twelve years old, soon to be thirteen but i have a love for animals. I currently have three dogs and a cat. I am okay at math but it is definitely NOT by best subject. Do i have to be great at math to become a veterinarian? I am wondering what classes i will need to take in high school and in college to pursue my goal and what do my grades need to be? I would also like to know what i should do for college. Do I go to one college and then go to veterinary school or just straight to veterinary school.

Thank You,
Phoebe

Hi, Phoebe,
I cannot be certain, but I guess that you are living in the US? If so, I cannot be a great help to you since I am familiar only with the requirements in the United Kingdom.
However, I am sure that math is less important than the basic sciences - Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
I wish you the best of luck with your studies and your ambition.
