Hiya,
i despartly trying to get imformation on qualifications for vetinary (pref equine)
i am in the middle of my gcse's. I already have completed, thanks to fast tracking, history (A), both enghlish's (B's) and maths (B, but it does help if you fininsh the course befoe the exam!) and i have sat the first parts (out of three) of biology (A), chemistry (A*) and physics (A*).
i also have BTEC ict - quvilant of 4 A* gcse's
i would love to be a vet, particually an equine vet,
i was wondering if these grades would be okay, because i still have time to resit (though i rather not)
i also have to pick a-levels and am currently thinking of doing Chem, bio, classic civilisation A level and physics a.s levl
and if you could advise on what a-levels to take that would be great help
thankyou very much =)

Hi,

You seem to have a good range of subjects ( excluding English grammar and spelling!!) at O level, and your selection of subjects at A level to include Chemistry, Biology and Physics is ideal especially if you achieve A or A* grades.. You cannot opt for specialising in Equine medicine as a undergraduate.. The course at all UK vet schools leads to a general vetrinary degree, tiough at some Schools yo can do an 'elective' in 4th or final yearin areas in which you have a particular interest.

If anyon has more recent information than this, I would welcome their commens.
